The Environmental Protection (Stray Dogs) Regulation 1992

From the 6th April 2008 Chiltern District Council has been responsible for dealing with all stray dogs within its area.

From this date if you find a stray dog and the dog has a form of identification, then, if possible, please return it directly to the owner.

If you have contained it within your own premises e.g. in your home/garden please contact the council as follows:

During normal office hours please contact our contractor on
01494 586503 or complete the online form.

Outside of normal office hours please telephone 01494 586519 or complete the online form.

A dog warden is available outside of normal office hours to deal with contained stray dogs only.

Please Note: We do not operate an out of hours service for any other dog related enquiry.
